About Dobre Solutions

Plain-English tech help written by people who've fixed the same problem a hundred times. Here's who we are, why we do this, and how we stay honest.

Our story

Started because tech help online is mostly noise.

Dobre Solutions launched in 2023 after too many afternoons watching family members drown in cookie banners, autoplay video, and 3,000-word articles that never actually answered their question.

The mission is simple: publish the shortest guide that solves the problem, keep the ads honest, and only recommend products we'd give to our own parents. When something works, we say so. When it doesn't, we say that too — even if it costs us a partnership.

Everything on the site is reviewed by at least two of us before it's published. Every product recommendation is tested, not just referenced. And when the written guide isn't enough, our 1-on-1 sessions are priced so that a working fix costs less than a bad hour with your ISP's support line.

The team

A small team. All of us actually use this stuff.

We keep the team small on purpose — every guide passes through at least two of us before it goes live.

P

Pere

Founder & Editor-in-Chief

A decade in consumer tech and digital ops. Handles editorial direction, partnerships, and the deeply nerdy Wi-Fi guides.

MK

Mia Kowalski

Senior Writer — PC & Mobile

A former help-desk lead who spent seven years fixing other people's laptops. Now she writes the guides she wishes she'd had.

JR

James Reyes

Senior Writer — Networking & Privacy

Ex-network engineer turned writer. If your router has a settings page, he's probably clicked through it at 2am.

How we work

Our editorial standards.

The rules we hold ourselves to on every article we publish.

01

Test before publish

Every product recommendation is used on a real device we own or have long-term access to — no press-release rewriting.

02

Two-editor review

Nothing goes live until a second team member has read it end to end and challenged the weakest claim.

03

Update instead of stale

We revisit every guide at least twice a year. If the fix has changed, so does the article — with the date updated.

04

Disclose everything

Affiliate links are labeled. Sponsored placements are labeled. Our verdict is never for sale — and we'd rather lose a partnership than change one.
